Oil and Cold Wax Workshop March 20-22
Oil and Cold Wax Workshop
March 20 7-9
March 21 and 22 10-4
Join me at my Oregon City studio to explore the beautiful medium of oil and cold wax painting in a small student setting. Adding cold wax to oil paint creates a highly textural, intuitive and versatile medium that can be texturized, layered and built up to a thick and soft matte finish. It feels a little like painting with whipped butter and dries more rapidly than oil. No experience necessary for this workshop!
We will be experimenting and playing using palette knives, brayers, squeegees and firm brushes on cradled hard boards.
The majority of the supplies will be included in the workshop. Please see the materials list below for student provided supplies.
